Contactus-1Some people get excited when they hear the “ding” or feel the “buzz” of a new email coming through on their work smart phone. Others bemoan working outside of regular business hours. However, always keep this in mind: What if the emails stop?

These days, professionals need to stay connected. Most companies or law firms provide smart phones to their professional employees so they are never far from work. On the one hand, you are being included in the deals as they happen. On the other hand, work can become a 24/7 affair.

I created a growing start-up because I saw a need. It is growing because of the support of my family, my friends, my network of lawyers, my experience and the companies and law firms who value service and top candidates. That also means I stay connected to work 24/7, by choice. Now, not everyone has to be this way. Some people see work phones as a blessing, and others see them as a curse. I simply recognize their value.

I think everyone should resist the urge to ever go into full “radio silence”. Making sure you are connected to deals as they happen is paramount to staying relevant in your chosen field. This is especially true if you are building your professional reputation, a company or a law practice. If you aren’t getting the emails anymore, then who is?

Having read this I thought it was extremely informative. I appreciate you finding the time and effort to put this information together. I once again find myself spending a significant amount of time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worth it!
